Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
  
  

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  
  

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  
  

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  
  

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  
  

• Coordinate with external auditors for financial audits.
  
  

• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
  
  

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
  
  

• Support management with financial insights and reports for decision-making.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  
  

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry.
  
  

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations in Qatar.
  
  

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  
  

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
  

• Must be currently residing in Qatar with valid work authorization (Local Hire Only).
